Planning

Planning is underrated. If I say “you can accomplish so much more, and reach your goals if you plan,” most everyone will agree with me. The reason planning is underrated isn’t because we don’t know about it’s value, it is because most people fail to make it a habit. We all plan some things, and even experience the benefits of planning vs. reacting in a very real way. Truthfully, most people are dissatisfied with parts of their life that they refuse to plan. It is based in an emotional fear I think, maybe a fear of failure; or maybe it’s a fear of success and what that will do to the status quo. Either way, we fail to plan. Everyone knows the saying, “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail” (apparently attributed to Benjamin Franklin, correct me if I’m wrong). It’s true, so what will you do about it? I am making some very big plans right now, and it’s exciting!

Browsing Twitter while I wait at the Dentist Office, and I came across this ‘Planning’ Entry in the blog. Great points and Ben Franklin quote. It puts planning into perspective, and also made me see my LACK OF planning but how beneficial it is to the success of each day. Also when I plan ahead, my stress level plummits. My lifestyle is day to day, but if I don’t want my brain to be a cluster-f then I should plan to plan better.
